Brittany Dorsey (she/her)

MS, LPC, NCC

Brittany is a trauma informed LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health counselor with a strong background in perinatal and postpartum care and first responders. She began her career in behavioral health in 2015 after earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. She later completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Forensic Counseling, from Walden University.

Brittany approaches therapy as a collaborative and empowering journey. She partners with individuals and couples to create a supportive, authentic space where healing, self-discovery, and growth can flourish. She believes each person holds the wisdom and strength needed to create meaningful change—and her role is to help them reconnect with that inner truth.

Brittany works with individuals aged 16 and older facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, military and first responder stress, depression, addiction, neurodiversity, and grief. She has a special passion for supporting perinatal and postpartum individuals and has completed advanced training through Postpartum Support International, along with other specialized programs. Brittany is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and creates a supportive, trauma-informed space for healing and growth.

Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and client-centered, blending techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), inner child work, parts work, and humanistic therapy. At the core of her work is a commitment to helping clients build self-trust, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Outside the therapy room, Brittany finds joy in time with her two sons—her greatest inspiration. She also enjoys reading, relaxing with her dog, running through her neighborhood, watching baseball, visiting family, and laughing with her close-knit circle of friends.
